Adopt a Dog

Keen to adopt a HURRAH dog?   Who can blame you, they are pretty awesome!  Before our dogs become available for adoption they undertake a 5 week basic obedience class with Dog Guru, actively take part in doggy daycare socialisation with Urban Dogs AND meet a doggy safety expert at BARK.  All 3 parties report the dogs progress back to HURRAH before they make it onto our website.

We hope by investing this much time and devotion to our dogs that we will never have to see one returned.

* All dogs & puppies come with a $300 adoption fee
* All dogs will be vaccinated, desexed, registered and microchipped
* All puppies will come with a commitment to be desexed at 6 months of age.
* Prospective dog owners must live in owner occupied, fully fenced properties.  Concessions will be made on a case by case basis for rural properties.
* Prospective dog owners must supply 2 character references
* Prospective dog owners must pass a home inspection conducted by a representative of HURRAH
* An initial meet and greet will take place with the foster parent and a representative of HURRAH on neutral territory (generally a local park).
* If all parties are happy with the arrangements thus far a week's trial may commence.
