A Tribute to Vicky Sue Turner

On January 5, 2017 we lost a friend and advocate of the Charity, Vicky, the Team Leader at Silverdale Animal Shelter. To honour her memory we would like to invite you all to participate in our tribute to her. It will be made up of two parts; a collection for her beloved shelter, and a desexing campaign - to help stem the flow of unwanted puppies to the shelter.

Silverdale Collection:

Vicky would want her puppies to have access to the little things that we as dog owners often take for granted. Therefore we invite you to donate the following (new or used) items:

  • Treats (preferably long lasting things like ears, bully sticks etc)
  • Tough Toys
  • Coats
  • Jumpers

Donations can be dropped to HURRAH HQ

The Desexing Campaign:

Sadly, Vicky's animal shelter takes in thousands of unwanted dogs each year. By participating in our latest campaign you can help reduce the number of unwanted puppies admitted to the shelter system, while meeting your dogs basic veterinary and legal needs. For $55 you can access the following:

  • Dog Desex (25 spay & 25 neuter spaces)
  • Parvo Vaccine
  • Microchip
  • NZCAR
  • Flea Treatment
  • Wormer
  • Vet Book
  • Dog Bowl

Terms & Conditions

You must hold a current community services card, and the dog must be your family pet. Bookings are essential and on a first in first served basis. HURRAH reserve the right to refuse access to the service.

Massive thanks to Vet Associates in Takanini for supporting our tribute. Bookings for our Febraury campaign will open via Facebook shortly.
